Slideshow View
Skip to 0:52 for slideshow view information!
By default, when one of your images is clicked it goes to 'slideshow view'. By clicking edit on an image you can change what it links to; another Salon.io page, a specific URL or nothing at all.
By placing your mouse over an image and selecting edit whilst in edit mode you can add information which will then be displayed whilst in slideshow view or elsewhere (see here for more help).
Slideshow view where all of the current page's images can be scrolled through using either the arrow keys or on-screen controls. To return to the main page a user then just clicks on the centre of the image being displayed.
You can decide how your images are displayed by going to the Slideshow tab in the inspector on the right (the screen icon) and choosing from the following options;
- Perfect Fit. This is the default view and displays your image normally but if they're larger than the browser window they will be scaled down in order to fit.
- Original. This displays your image at it's full resolution. If this is larger than the browser window the viewer will be able to scroll around.
- Fill Screen. This forces the image (whatever the resoltion) to scale to fit the width of the browser window. However it does not simply stretch the image but keeps the aspect ratio - therefore cropping your image if it is not the same aspect ratio as the browser window. For an example see here.
Here you also have options for how your image information will be displayed whilst in slideshow view as well as how your images themselves will be displayed - using the Passepartout and Background options.
